HR Manager

Location: Daventry

The extensive range of Ensafe’s consultative services include Geo-Environmental investigations, Ecology, Acoustics & Air Quality, fully independent Asbestos Surveying, Project Management, Health & Safety and Training. We support all aspects of the built and natural environment, ensuring our clients receive practical solutions to the complex and challenging environmental issues that impact their business.

With offices in Daventry, Manchester, Plymouth, Hamilton and Burton-on-Trent we are now looking for the right person to lead our HR team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver the HR plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors, ensuring alignment to the wider business strategy
  • Liaise with all department managers and Board members to understand and support the needs of their employees through the employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, reward and career development
  • Manage the employee relations activity including the disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures
  • Manage the recruitment process, ensuring it aligns with the requirements of the business and the workforce plans
  • Manage and develop direct reports
  • Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on HR related matters
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues ensuring HR systems and records are maintained
  • Promote a culture that reflects the organisation’s values, encourages good performance and rewards productivity
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure all payroll data is submitted in a correct and timely manner

Education & Qualifications

  • CIPD L5 Qualified (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • HR Manager experience (or equivalent), including supporting managers and employees through each stage of the employee life-cycle
  • A comprehensive understanding of employment law and experience of its application in the workplace
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • An ability to take the initiative, be proactive and operate with a high level of personal integrity
  • Strong people management capability
  • Proficient in using appropriate software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc) in support of day to day efficiency

Full Time Role - 40hrs

Salary Range - £40k - £45k
