Senior Environmental Advisor
Location: Daventry, Manchester or Burton
We are currently recruiting for a Senior environmental advisor to deliver ecology services across the UK. The successful candidate will have a wealth of ecology experience.
The Role:
- Tendering, Project managing report reviewing for both geo-environmental and geotechnical projects within an established team.
- Management of junior staff (Graduates and Consultants) including mentoring
- Clear and timely communication with project team, management and clients to ensure smooth project progression
Required Qualifications:
- degree (BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng) in a related field, ideally Environmental Sciences
Essential Experience / Attributes
- Experience in managing, and mentoring junior staff
- Experience in managing ecology projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
- Preparing fee proposals and tenders
- Experience in reviewing technical ecology reports
- Demonstrable recognition and management of change within projects
- A clear understanding of Health and Safety risks within projects
- Proactive desire to learn and improve technical skills as required
Desirable
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) and experience of carrying out ground investigations within rail environment
- Understanding of roles and responsibilities under CDM
- Membership of a professional institute
- Business development experience
- Knowledge of clients in relevant end markets
- At least one European Protected Species licence (Class 2 bats would be highly desirable)
Working Hours:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Expectation to travel nationally depending on business needs
