Upton Hall is the headquarters of the British Horological Institute and houses the Museum of Timekeeping, including a collection of clocks, watches and other timepieces where visitors can explore the story of timekeeping past, present and future.
At this significant historic grade II building Ensafe Consultants were contracted to carry out a pre-refurbishment survey. Following the discovering of asbestos Ensafe were enlisted to continue our working relationship and carryout the project management of the asbestos removal works.
Ensafe’s team of experts have extensive experience of operating within historic buildings of such significance and for this prestigious project we worked within the strict Historic England guidelines.
As well as being sensitive to the hall’s historic and grade II status our experienced team had to consider the careful protection of artefacts that remained in situ within the hall throughout the works, which were carried out successfully by Ensafe.
